Petrex, an Aberdeen based Subsea Engineering and Project Management Consultancy are sponsoring the Air Race Formula 1 Team – Hart Attack.

Air Race Formula 1 is a mix of speed and pilot skill, taking place on a circuit just two kilometres end to end at speeds of more than 250 mph. Eight aircraft race together over 10 laps at heights as low as 25ft.

This years showcase takes place in Catalunya, Spain on 31 May. Featuring a striking blue and white race livery and displaying the Petrex branding, Hart Attack is instantly recognisable.

“We find this style of competition instantly appealing, it’s reminiscent of some of the tradition in old barn storming days whilst pushing the boundaries in speed and agility through the innovative engineering of today. We will all be watching on the edge of our seats,” said Ian Pithie, Business Manager, Petrex.

Established in 2008, Petrex is a privately owned company specialising in Subsea Engineering and Project Management Services to the oil, gas and renewables markets.
