AND FINALLY: How many psychiatrists (or MSPs) does it take to change a renewable-energy lightbulb?

By Our Holyrood Correspondent

We are obliged to Rob Gibson – himself a leading ‘green’ light in the Scottish energy sector in a previous life before he became a Holyrood MP as SNP MSP for Caithness, Ross and Sutherland – for the following:

Introducing the debate on the Scottish Government’s consultation on its Draft Climate Change programme, Rob started off on an appropriately LIGHT-hearted note when he said:

“Mr. Presiding Officer, I crave your indulgence as I try to get all the detail in.” (Get on with it! – Editor) Change and adaptation are rarely easy…

“So how many psychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb?

“Answer: None—the light bulb has to be willing to change itself. Except now, of course, it should now be an energy-saving light bulb!”

Next, the SNP will be pulling the other one about Christmas trees being greener than ever ….
