Axis Well Technology has become the first oil and gas company headquartered in Aberdeen to be recognised for its commitment to its employees by achieving the Gold Investors in People (IIP) accreditation.
The company was presented with IIP Gold status by IIP’s chief executive Peter Russian (above) at the firm’s head office, putting the company in the top 7% of all IIP-accredited businesses in the UK. This achievement comes shortly after the firm received the Investors in Young People accreditation (IIYP) which was presented by Annabelle Ewing, Scottish Minister for Youth and Women’s Employment earlier this year.
Jim Anderson, Chief Executive, Axis Well Technology, said: “We are extremely proud at Axis to have attained this tremendous accolade of Gold Status from IIP, which salutes the total commitment of the company in its approach to how it develops, mentors, communicates and manages it’s fantastic workforce. As a global oil and gas consultancy, people are our most important asset and our aim has always been to be an employer of choice within the industry.
“The IIP framework has been and continues to be a complementary business tool and correlates well with overall business performance, which has helped Axis deliver a great service to our loyal customers.”
Peter Russian, Chief Executive, Investors in People, commented: “Axis Well Technology has excelled with their application and accreditation – we were extremely impressed by their commitment to their workforce in the oil and gas sector.”
