Citizens Advice Scotland urges retailers to put consumers first

Citizens Advice Scotland has called for fairer pricing, clear and accurate billing and debt support for people in vulnerable situations in a report entitled Power to the People, published on 26 February.

The report draws upon evidence and insights from advisers in Citizens Advice Bureaux across Scotland and the Extra Help Unit.

It also recommends ease of contact, easy access to the Warm Home Discount, and a greater choice offering for consumers on restricted electricity meters. The report makes a number of recommendations on how fuel poor households in Scotland can be supported.
