‘Access To Oil and Gas’ is being held first on Thursday (28 November) at the Apex Hotel, Dundee – two days after publication of the Scottish Government’s Independence White Paper – and also in Glasgow on 9 December. Both events are free of charge.
The events will be hosted by David Rennie, International Sector Head for Oil and Gas at Scottish Enterprise. Other speakers from the oil and gas industry will include representatives from the Scottish Government, an operator, integrated service contractors, and suppliers who have successfully diversified their business from other sectors.
Rennie said: “We will introduce companies seeking to win contracts in the oil and gas supply chain to industry requirements covering health and safety, quality standards, contracting and procurement and other issues which are important when seeking to supply to the sector.
“These seminars will give you an opportunity to consider the potential of the oil and gas industry and the opportunities for your business. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to network, connect and ask questions.”
In particular, Scottish Enterprise say that companies operating in aerospace, defence, marine, life and chemical sciences, computing and manufacturing, will gain most from these events – as well as ‘industry newcomers’.
