Global oil giant Conoco Phillips is to cut some 450 North Sea oil and gas jobs in the UK by 2020.
Most of these redundancies are likely to arise following the scheduled closure of the company’s Theddlethorpe gas terminal in Lincolnshire, which is due to close in October this year.
However, a number of support and back-office jobs at the company’s UK head office in Aberdeen – which employs some 700 people – may also be affected.
