Council seeks partner for Highlands solar power contract

Monokristalline Solarmodule vor sonnigem HimmelHighlands Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to finance, supply, install and maintain photovoltaic (PV) solar panels to municipal buildings across the entire cooncil area.

The cooncil is seeking a partner for the provision, installation and finance of PV systems on council roofs. The opportunity will include housing, schools, sports centres, industrial buildings and offices. The systems will be supplied, installed and maintained by the provider in return for a fixed-income rental fee to the cooncil.

The provider may include ‘area based deployment’ that allows homeowners and businesses, social enterprises and communities to participate in the opportunity.
