Danish lifeboat producer Xervo is forging ahead with its ‘boat-in-a-box’ system for lifeboats and rescue boats.
For the second time in weeks, Xervo has confirmed a new order – from one of the world’s largest offshore companies -CAT-J Marinerto be built at Jurong shipyard for Noble Drilling.
This rig is sold to Noble Drilling and will be operating in the Mariner field in the UK North Sea sector.
The rig will be the first outside of the Norwegian sector with lifeboats that live up to the NORSOK R-002 standard.
Juul Sørensen, Chief Executive, Xervo, said: “We have actually won every single order for new jack-up rigs that have been built according to the NORSOK standards.
“This range of projects gives us good financial ballast and puts us in the position to further develop products, so we can continue to have a competitive product and live up to the future rules from the Petroleum Authority in Norway.”
