Edinburgh City Council publishes draft City Mobility Plan

Edinburgh City Council’s Transport and Environment Committee has published a City Mobility Plan – Draft for Consultation, which replaces the Local Transport Strategy 2014-2019.

The plan sets out a new vision for transport in the city, with key staging posts through to 2030 as part of a step change for the city’s sustainable future.

It is recommended that stakeholder and public consultation should be undertaken in parallel with City Plan 2030 (a new Local Development Plan for Edinburgh) for an 8-week period from 31 January to 27 March.

The outcomes of the plan are that Edinburgh will be a city with a carbon neutral public transport system, with good accessibility and affordability, better air quality and less congestion.
