Edinburgh’s Premier Oil appoints new finance director

premierEdinburgh-registered Premier Oil plc has appointed Richard Rose as its new finance director, with effect from 8 September.

He joins the company from Ophir Energy where his current role encompasses Strategy and Head of Corporate Communications.

Rose qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and spent more than 20 years within the energy sector – including 13 years working with a range of international banks.

In 2012 Rose – who obtained a BSc in Physics from Imperial College – joined RBC Capital Markets as a Managing Director where he advised a number of energy companies ,including Premier Oil.
