Edinburgh based RM Capital Markets has announced the placement of £45 million senior secured loans with a maturity of 19 years for Good Energy, where RM Capital acted as sole lead arranger.
The ground breaking transaction included funding for both solar PV and Wind assets, with feed-in tariff and ROC income streams.
The asset finance service is the most recent addition to the RM Capital business. The company believes it has become clear that despite the recovery in the credit markets, clients are finding it difficult to fund smaller projects and less traditional assets.
Its asset finance team aims to help those clients by providing an alternative to bank lending and access competitive lending rates not currently offered by the banks.
RM Capital was established in December 2010 and has grown into a industry leader in sales and trading, debt capital markets, currency services, and asset finance.
Under the stewardship of James Robson, Chief Executive and Director, RM Capital has grown and developed a reputation as sector leading specialists within each area of the business, and has forged strong links with the renewable energy sector.
The firm provides asset finance professionals who are specialists in the renewable energy sector including solar PV (ground mounted and rooftop), wind, hydro and biomass.
