Energy sector trade associations issue Calls for Papers for industry conferences

BCall for papersoth Oil & Gas UK and Renewable UK have issued calls for papers for their respective industry conferences.

The conference for Renewable UK’s is titled ‘Breaking through barriers and moving towards a commercial industry’ and will feature wave, tidal and technology showcases.

The conference organised by Oil & Gas UK will focus on ‘maximising economic returns’ from the sector over the next 40 years.

The association is also now inviting proposals for papers to be presented for each of the following sessions: Exploration; Development; Production including enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and increased oil recovery (IOR); and Late Life Asset Management including decommissioning.

Stephen Jones, Business Development Director, said: “We’re delighted to announce that Oil & Gas UK is running this successful event for a second year.

“We hope that the topics will be of interest and deliver insight for a range of companies – from global operators to SMEs – and will help towards achieving the goal of maximising economic recovery from the North Sea.”

The renewables conference is being held in Edinburgh on 25-26 February 2015. The Oil & Gas UK conference will take place in from 17-18 June 2015.
