Legal Counsel – Vattenfall Windpower – Edinburgh

Overall purpose of the role As the demand for legal expertise in our Renewables business continues to grow, we are looking to recruit for our Legal Affairs Renewables team in the UK.  You will mainly be dedicated to our onshore Scottish projects assisting on the full remit of legal matters affecting projects including development, property, grid, supply chain and corporate governance. The remit is diverse and challenging and you will need to be commercially aware, pragmatic and able to work effectively under pressure. You will be an exceptional and talented individual with good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work independently.

Qualification You will be a Scottish qualified lawyer, with solid commercial experience gained at a respected law firm or in-house and with over 5 years PQE.  Ideal candidates will have experience in onshore renewable energy matters.

Location Edinburgh or Hexham, but Edinburgh is preferred. This position will involve travelling to different UK/European locations.

Commercial Project Manager – Vattenfall Windpower – London

Deadline: 9 January 2015

Vattenfall is looking to fill the position of the Commercial Project Manager Kentish Flats Extension, Commercial Steering, BU Renewables, Region Continental/UK.

Commercial Steering provides commercial support to the project managers and transparency about all commercial aspects. This includes standardisation of processes around commercial contract management, valuation, risk management, insurance and claim management, etc.

Kentish Flats Extension is wholly owned by Vattenfall Wind Power Ltd (VWPL) and is to be located on the southern side of the Outer Thames Estuary off the North Kent coast, approximately 8.6km north of Herne Bay and 9.5km north of Whitstable, in water depth ranging from 4-6m (LAT). The Project is based on the installation of 15 Vestas 3.3MW V112 wind turbines installed.

As Commercial Project manager you have an extremely important task in creating value to the project. You will lead a team of financial- and commercial experts in all work packages in the project.

What are we looking for?

· University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Law or a related field of study

· At least 5-10 years of professional experience in a comparable position

· Experience with commercial and contractual issues and negotiations in large industry-scale project (e.g. energy, oil/gas, construction)

· Offshore wind power experience is beneficial
