Oil & Gas UK is a representative body for the UK offshore oil and gas industry. Its 380 members include the full spectrum of companies working in the industry’s supply chain from super major oil companies to small specialist contractors. The Oil & Gas UK Directorate comprises a strong team of specialists covering the complete range of issues affecting the industry. With offices in both London and Aberdeen, the purpose of the organisation is to strengthen the long-term health of the industry it serves.
The Well Life Cycle Practices Forum (WLCPF) was created in 2011, as recommended by the Oil Spill Prevention and Response Advisory Group (OSPRAG) following the Macondo incident in the US. The structure and governance of the forum sits within Oil & Gas UK, with the following primary purposes:
- Identifying, implementing and maintaining industry best practice, guidelines and standards applicable to the well design, well construction, well management and intervention operations in the UKCS
- Providing industry regulators and stakeholders with a forum to discuss cross industry issues that are relevant to enhancing health, safety and environmental excellence
- The forum through which industry stakeholders share best practice, review well life cycle cross industry issues, create and resource workgroups, interface with other Oil & Gas UK Forums and regulators works ultimately towards preparing recommendations and guidelines for consideration by the Board and members of Oil & Gas UK
We are looking for this part-time contract position to play a leading role managing the WLCPF, preparing and revising technical reports and guidelines and covering all other related activities. The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of relevant UKCS legislation as well as extensive operational experience at a senior level including but not limited to drilling, workover and intervention and decommissioning operations.

And, as we expand our renewables business into Europe, we have significant growth targets for 2014/15; targets which you’ll help us realise as European Account Manager. In order to successfully identify, support and grow new accounts in Germany, it’s crucial that we have a presence in the local market.
Based in either North or Central Germany and travelling around the country, you’ll actively familarise yourself with market conditions, competitor activity, major projects, legislation, technological progress and of course, promote Met Office capabilities and services.
Having identified key stakeholders and mutually beneficial collaboration opportunities, you’ll take ownership and manage the sales process lifecycle for your customer accounts. The relationships you build will bring opportunities for profitable growth.
You’ll use your insight to inform strategic planning, working closely with the team and other internal departments to ensure that our offering matches the individual needs of customers.
You’ll be required to undertake 6-8 weeks of training at our head office in Exeter, United Kingdom as part of your role.

Infinergy has a significant portfolio of consented projects within Scotland. In preparation for the construction of these projects we seek an experienced senior construction manager to manage and oversee all pre-construction related activities across the portfolio.
The successful candidate will assist in reaching project financial close through managing activities,including ground investigation, preparing detailed design, materials estimation and leading the overall construction strategy.
In addition, the role will involve the preparation of construction scope of works and tender documentation, the contracting and management of third party suppliers (BoP, Owners Engineer etc) and acting as the primary point of contact with the grid operator.
