Ian Donald, Managing Director of ENPRO Subsea has been recognised by his peers for his ‘outstanding contribution’ to the sector at a recent industry seminar.
Donald has been instrumental in bringing a number of game-changing technologies to the subsea industry, including the MARS (Multiple Application Reinjection System), the ESSI Decom (Enhanced Subsea Sampling and Injection) system and the pioneering FAM (Flow Access Module) technology – which is becoming a new industry standard for flexible subsea enhanced production intervention.
The panel also commended his engagement in the subsea and field development aspects of the offshore energy business over the past three decades, having fulfilled roles at board, executive, technical and project management level within operator, major service companies and SME environments with demonstrable success.
Last month, the Aberdeenshire-based firm received a £1½ million grant from the Scot-Govt. to develop its ESSI flow assurance technology further to address emerging markets in deeper waters.
