Andras Siegler, Director of Energy at the European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation, will provide the opening keynote address at Ocean Energy Europe 2014, on 1 October.

Launched earlier this year, Horizon 2020 is the world’s biggest research funding programme, with a dedicated €5.4bn pool for funding for energy research over the next 7 years.Scotland is to feature prominently at the Ocean Energy Europe 2014 conference in Paris, 1-2 October
