The G9 Offshore Wind Health and Safety Association (G9) has rebranded itself as the G+ Global Offshore Wind Health & Safety Organisation.
Since its formation in 2012, the G9 has taken a leading role in facilitating health and safety improvements in the offshore wind industry.
Jonathan Cole, G+ Chairman ( and Managing Director Offshore, Scottish Power Renewables), said:, ‘Following on from the HSE Bootle workshop, and as part of our ongoing efforts to demonstrate that we are an inclusive organisation and have an international reach, we have decided to change our name to better reflect these ambitions.
“As the organisation’s Chairman, I will be promoting the fact that the G+ is not limited to its founding members and will welcome new participants.’
The primary aim of the G+ remains to create and deliver world class health and safety performance across all of its activities in the offshore wind industry. This aim is supported through the development of industry health and safety incident data reports, good practice guidelines and Safe by Design workshop reports. All of these materials are freely available to download from the G+ website.
