A Glasgow-based utilities management company has launched a specialist add-on “white label” service aimed at companies wishing to provide business energy comparisons and utility management to their clients.
Eyebright, which provides procurement and contract management in electricity, gas, water, telecoms and merchant services contracts, is predicting a 22% rise in turnover as its new Eyesource service gains traction in the industry.
The company, which was set up in 2009, is targeting those that are currently providing energy procurement and brokerage services, and who may be using an aggregator.
Employing 12 staff, Eyebright’s clients include Kinetic Utilities and Energy Partnership and the company has an annual turnover of around £700,000.
The deregulation of the commercial water markets in Scotland in 2008 and in England in April 2017, has given rise to a new industry of consultants and brokers.
Eyebright Managing Director Jamie Newall said: “Clients in this industry are looking for a single point of contact and hassle-free operation of the utilities. Eyesource has been designed to provide a platform which supports this.
“Eyesource will allow third parties to offer competitive energy procurement services under their own brand. We will provide the platform and the necessary level of account management support to facilitate third party, front-end branding.
“I used to work with price comparison sites which were B2C-focused and I could see that SMEs, particularly those with multi-sites and complex spends, were not well served. We provide not only technology but also account management support.”
