Government is driven by desperation to back fracking to avoid power black-outs

The UK government’s proposed policy to relax trespass laws to enable energy companies to drill for shale gas and the use of ‘fracking’  is a policy driven by desperation, from a Government beset by panic and disarray in terms of energy policy.

The coalition is frantically banking on fracking to get them out of a hole. The Government has avoided giving a clear and transparent policy on energy throughout its term in power. As a result, the ‘energy crisis’ is now becoming critical.
