Grampian-based pipeline casing accessory and completion tool company Downhole Products has announced that its U.S. facility has doubled in size in a move which will lead to the creation of new jobs.
The announcement comes as the company celebrates its 20th anniversary and coincided with the company’s presence at the recent 2014 Offshore Technology Conference in Houston, Texas.
Established in 1994 and with its global headquarters near Aberdeen, Downhole Products is a world market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of casing accessories and completion tools such as centralisers, reamer guide shoes and cable clamp protectors.
At 29,000 square feet, its new Houston office and warehouse facility in Texas is double the size of previous premises and is located in the World Houston International Business Centre.
Ian Kirk, Managing Director, Downhole Products, said: “The Americas continue to be a key marketplace for us so it is vital that we have the correct infrastructure in place to deal with the needs of our growing client base. This new base is ideally located and will provide a springboard from which we can continue to expand our presence.”
