Scottish Energy News is the unique, fast, free, focused and daily, business to business media channel for Scotland’s energy industries and associated bodies.
Set up in 2013, Scottish Energy News is read at least once a day by 75% of all Scottish MSPs in the Scottish Parliament. Readers includes MPs/ Ministers at the very top of government as well as MSPs on influential Scottish Parliament committees, in addition to MPs in the Westminster Parliament and in Brussels, the Isle of Man and the Irish Republic.
Since, launch, Scottish Energy News has enjoyed a 50% increase in Active Daily Subscribers (ADLs) – and, in addition to MPs, readers includes chairmen, chief executives of pan-UK energy regulators, academics, think-tanks, trade union and energy employers, pan-UK trade associations, lawyers, and representatives from Scotland’s coal, gas, oil, wind, wave, tidal, hydro and bio-mass energy/ power generation industries.
But as Energy is a joint jurisdictional policy matter between Holyrood and Westminster, with regulation shared between a single regulator (OFGEM) and featuring many other cross-border issues between Scotland and England, and indeed, the EU, Scottish Energy News takes a ‘pan-UK/pan-EU’ editorial perspective and is not ‘tartan parochial’ in any sense.
