Hydrogen and fuel cells set to dominate Scottish Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association conference in Aberdeen

SHFCA logoThe sixth annual conference of the Scottish Hydrogen Fuel Cell Association (SHCFA) takes place on 1-2 October 2014, on the theme of ‘Smarter Energy with Hydrogen & Fuel Cells’ in Aberdeen.

The conference will showcase the enabling role for hydrogen and fuel cell technologies and products in the rapidly emerging markets for smart energy systems.

This year’s conference programme brings together SHFCA members and invited expert speakers for sessions which will explore how hydrogen and fuel cells can be the smarter choice in Heat, Power, and Transport applications.

Keynote speaker is Daryl Wilson, Chief Executive of Hydrogenics and President of the Canadian Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association. Other speakers include Paul O’Brien of government quango Scottish Development Interntional and Archie Stoddart, from Transport Scotland, another government quango.

Linking all of these activities together in the smart integrated energy systems of the futures is the underpinning theme of Energy Storage & Energy Conversions. The conference will also explore opportunities for effective cooperation and partnership working between countries, both in Europe and internationally.

The SHFCA annual meeting conference dinner takes place on the evening of 1 October 2014.
