Idom Merebrook open new Stirling offices in bid to further expand into Scottish renewables market

Idom Merebrook Ltd, a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a growing presence in Scotland has opened new offices in Stirling.

With six regional offices throughout the UK, central Scotland has been identified as a new potential growth region for Idom Merebrook across all of their engineering disciplines. In the wind turbine market Idom Merebrook already works closely with some of the onshore wind energy companies operating in this region, and the Stirling base will both support existing clients and also provide the opportunity to develop further business in the renewables market.

Environmental engineering and developing renewable energies will be a major focus for the Stirling team, led by Principal Engineer Alex Sinclair who has significant expertise in Scotland’s renewables sector.

Alex Sinclair, Principal Engineer, Idom Merebrook, said: “The opportunities in renewable energy has been a big draw for us in Scotland, the location of this new office right in the heart of Scotland enhances the services we provide existing customers, but opens up this region to work with companies across all sectors.

Idom Merebrook offers a fully comprehensive package of engineering services to assist in the delivery of wind turbine projects. The team works across all stages of the process from planning and detailed design, to construction management and health and safety.

The Scottish team are currently involved with the delivery of several Enercon powered wind turbine developments in Scotland, one of which is the installation of a Enercon E48 wind turbine and supporting infrastructure at Windyhill in Kincardineshire.
