Inch Cape offshore wind farm gains approval

Announced on 18 June by Inch Cape Offshore, the Scottish Government has now granted planning permissions for a 72-turbine wind farm off the Angus coast.

The plans for the wind farm were submitted by Inch Cape Offshore, owned by China’s State Development & Investment Corporation.

The developers will now seek to achieve funding through the UK Contracts for Difference scheme, due to commence in 2021 following this year’s auction on 29 May.
