The Wood Review of the Scotland’s oil and gas sector called – among many other reforms – for energy companies to share pipelines and infrastructure to reduce operating costs in recovering resources from the North Sea.
Is it now time for a similar ‘Wood Review-style’ review of Scottish renewables – for the same reasons – ie to cut costs, eliminate wasteful manufacturer rivalries and actually deliver economies of scale in large-scale, mass-market offshore wind turbines?
