Offshore oil and gas and renewables companies have just a few days left to submit applications for 2015 Offshore Achievement Awards, which closes submissions on Monday 1 December.
The awards, organised and hosted by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section and supported by main sponsor TAQA, are to recognise the best and brightest of industry talent.
“Supporting young people to progress with a career in the industry is at the heart of what SPE is about. We feel that recognition is long overdue for the outstanding efforts being made in graduate training and apprenticeship schemes.
“In line with previous years, we also expect to see high entry levels for the categories focusing upon technology and innovation.
“We want to commend those who have been breaking down barriers and developing technologies which are extending the life of our industry, and hope that this inspires the continued development that is critical to our industry.”
Ross Lowdon, Chairman SPE Aberdeen Section, added:
“The Offshore Achievement Awards provide affirmation to talented people and successful businesses throughout the energy industry.
“Winning or being shortlisted is an accolade which not many can boast about, and places your business in a prime position. Even taking the time to submit an entry demonstrates great recognition for your staff and their commitment.”
