The Labour Party published its manifesto on 21 November.
As part of its Green Industrial Revolution, the party will invest £6bn in retrofitting houses across Scotland, which it says will “help tackle the climate emergency at the same time as lowering bills, ending fuel poverty and creating 35,000 jobs.”
In a statement that would impact the North Sea oil and gas industry, Labour said it would “introduce a windfall tax on oil companies” but would “provide a strategy to safeguard the people, jobs and skills that depend on the offshore oil and gas industry.”
