Marine Scotland issues a consultation on offshore energy decommissioning advice

On 22 November, Marine Scotland launched a consultation regarding the first draft of its offshore renewable energy decommissioning guidance.

This consultation is intended to gather views from industry, regulators and other stakeholders on Scotland’s first industry guidance for the eventual decommissioning of offshore renewable energy infrastructure.

It will look look to establish robust policies and procedures to cover decommissioning securities for offshore wind and other marine renewables projects.

The consultation closes on 16 March 2020.
