M&S Energy – the energy retail arm of Marks & Spencer – has committed £400,000 to a new community energy funding competition.
Styled as a competition – with a judges’ shortlist then prizes decided by a public vote – the Fund has two UK-wide pots totalling £60,000 up for grabs, plus up to £12,500 in each of three Scottish regions.
There are also judges’ prizes recognising the most “inspiring and innovative” projects.
You can apply if you are a not for private profit organisation with your own premises or a site agreed for an energy development.
A spokesman for M&S Energy said: “Our funding will be awarded to renewable energy projects in Great Britain who can demonstrate they have the support of their local community.”
Applicants will also need to obtain relevant planning clearances by the application deadline of July 29.
