The finalists for the Oil and Gas UK Awards 2015 have been announced. This year – for the first time – the awards include a prize for the company which achieves ‘MER’ – maximising economic recovery from the N. Sea.
Meanwhile, entries have now opened for the 2016 Offshore Achievement Awards, which also include- for the first time – prizes for intra-industry N. Sea collaboration.
A spokesman for the organisers, explained: “The Offshore Achievement Awards are regarded as the most prestigious in the oil and gas calendar, and the competition continues to grow year after year.
“After a difficult 12 months for the industry, it is vital that we continue to acknowledge the individuals and companies who have significantly contributed to the sector, and shaped it into the ground breaking industry that it is today.
“Collaboration and innovation is key to continuing the growth and sustainability of the North Sea.”
Entries can be submitted until 1 December 2015 with the winners being announced at an event in March 2016 in Aberdeen.
