Narec’s Chief Technology Officer elected Vice Chair of IEA Wind exec committee

IGNACIO MARTIIgnacio Marti, Chief Technology Officer at the National Renewable Energy Centre (Narec), based in Northumberland, has been elected Vice Chair of the Executive Committee for the International Energy Agency Wind Implementing Agreement (IEA Wind).The IEA Wind Agreement is focused on advancing wind energy development and has 20 member countries whose aim is to foster research, development, deployment of wind energy systems and undertake cooperative R&D projects.

As the UK Contracting Party for the IEA Wind organisation, Narec will be hosting the next Executive Committee meeting in May 2014 as well as organising an industry event to coincide with this visit.
