Natural Power, Fred Olsen and SubC launch new fixed-price ‘pick ‘n mix’ offshore wind turbine inspection package

Natural Power, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and SubC Partner have combined to launch a new force in offshore wind turbine inspections which brings together a market-leading cooperative that is dedicated to reducing downtime.

The new service provides a simple contracting model where customers they can ‘pick ‘n choose’ from a list of inspection services under one contract. This will offer lower costs and reduced contract complexity, saving time and lowering operational risk for clients.

Together, the co-operative will deliver full inspection, less downtime, fix-prices, and reduced operational and contractual complexity and risk.

Pieter d’Haen, International Director at Dumfries-shire-based Natural Power, said: “By coordinating the service areas of each of our organisations under one agreement, Offshore Wind-spect  has the distinct advantage of being able to pass on the benefits of an agile, responsive and efficient service directly to its clients.

“On-going inspection work is vital when it comes to maintaining, repairing and maximising output from offshore assets but often requires some of the fleet to be out of operation until work is complete.

“By combining our service, we can ensure downtime is minimised by coordinating inspections through one contractual interface, reducing inspection duration, and ensuring efficient and safe operations through close communication between vessel and inspection crew, thus also driving cost efficiencies.”
