Portal, which is an online, mobile solution, allows users to view key project information on the go. Streamlining project knowledge, such as operational reporting, site reporting, site access, work control, and health and safety management, Portal also provides a GIS mapping service and data storage and management.
The software aims to reduce time spent gathering and collating information from a variety of sources, to enable users to focus on higher value issues.
Ted Leeming, Managing Director, Natural Power, said: “We have used our 20 plus years of experience in gathering and interpreting information to develop this ground-breaking technology that will help our customers to optimise the success of their operations. Portal will offer users greater control by allowing them to plan more effectively, ultimately maximising the potential from renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
“The development and launch of Portal is instrumental in our long term strategy to help our clients in achieving their operational efficiency and competitiveness objectives to ensure that low carbon energy technologies can compete in the wider energy market.”
Portal offers users the ability to view and analyse numerous sources of data at a single technology, site, or portfolio level; and aims to assist analysts in identifying potential performance issues more easily by presenting information in either historical or real time format.
Sean MacDougall, Technical Officer, Muirhall Energy – a successful, independent developer of renewables – said: “Portal brings together all of my asset information in one simple, easy to use programme. The format is simple, user-friendly and provides huge time-saving benefits when keeping track of site data. It definitely has strong potential as a support tool for maximising operational site performance, and we look forward to seeing the service develop.”
