New N. Sea decommissioning guide launched

Bureau Veritas – the 190-year old testing, inspection and certification services provider – has launched its latest decommissioning guide to the North Sea.  

It provides up-to-date, easy to understand, guidance of the regulations that apply to decommissioning work, from operators and stakeholders to the supply chain.

It also describes the necessary procedures for operators and duty holders to plan, execute and follow-up decommissioning work and help them comply with the relevant legislation and cover all types of assets in an offshore field, whether platforms are floating or fixed.

Proserv opens new North Sea services depot

Offshore engineering contract Proserv has opened a new office and workshop centre to service the southern North Sea.

The 65,000 sq ft Artemis House in a New Enterprise business zone in Yarmouth has been named after the Artemis 2G) subsea control system technology.

Peterson workers raise £25,000 for north east charities

Peterson employees in Aberdeen and surrounding offices have rallied together to raise £20,000 which has been donated to two local charities – the Cyrenians and Friends of the Special Nursery.

Workers at Peterson’s Shetland base also raised £4,500 for CLAN and Macmillan Cancer Support, a sum which has been matched by the North Sea logistics contractor.
