New Scottish wind farm connected to grid

The 88MW Kype Muir wind farm in South Lanarkshire has been connected the grid.

It was announced by French cable company Nexans on Tuesday 8 January that a 16km underground cable now connects the 26-turbine wind farm to the new 132/33kV SP Energy Networks substation at the Kype Muir site with the existing Coalburn 400/132kV grid substation.
