An Aberdeen-based industrial battery supplier has won a ‘significant’ contract to carry out service of UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and standby battery equipment on Total UK’s N. Sea offshore and onshore assets.
A 10-man Norco team will provide dedicated support to the Alwyn – Dunbar Area, Elgin and Franklin Fields and the Shetland gas plant. The Total deal follows a similar 10-platform contract gained with another major operator last year.
Norco originated from the engineering arm of Northern Co-operative, which was acquired by director Ian Sharp. With an annual turnover of around £9 million, Norco has a workforce of 99 people.
