North Sea oil and gas industry trade unions are to consult their members on whether to accept a new pay offer from the Offshore Contractors Association (OCA).
An earlier offer from the Aberdeen-based employers’ body was rejected by workers earlier this year.
Members of the Unite, GMB and RMT unions will take part in consultative ballots starting from Monday 18 June 2018.
The OCA had previously said it was disappointed with the ballot results, but would keep working with unions in a bid to achieve a viable settlement.
Major OCA employers – such as the Aberdeen-based Wood Group conglomerate – have slashed workers’ pay in the four years since the crude oil price slumped from more than $100-barrel in 2014 to around $30-barrel in 2017.
The OCA did not respond to inquiries for further information or comment on the looming dispute with workers.
Along with Wood Group, OCA members include;
- AMEC Foster Wheeler plc
- Aker Offshore Partner Ltd
- Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services UK Ltd
- Cape PLC
- Muehlhan Industrial Services Ltd
- Petrofac Facilities Management
- Sparrows Offshore Services Ltd
- Stork Technical Services
