“Our aim is to put people at the heart of increased renewable energy.”
Kate Pearson, Deputy Head of Charities People’s Postcode Lottery, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled to be supporting Friends of the Earth Scotland. We are truly inspired by their renewable energy projects and we’re proud that this £50,000 support from players will enable the charity to achieve more than ever before.”
Friends of the Earth Scotland was delighted to attend the People’s Postcode Lottery’s Annual Charity Gala which celebrated the fantastic work that has been made possible throughout 2013 thanks to players of the charity lottery. The event was also an opportunity to consider the opportunities that lie ahead in 2014.
The Charity Gala took place at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. The night was a celebration of the hard work achieved by charities supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Players of People’s Postcode Lottery have generated over £35.6 million for charities and good causes. This year the charity lottery was delighted to welcome Chelsea Clinton who addressed the Gala. In her special remarks, Chelsea warmly thanked players of People’s Postcode Lottery for their generous support and called for greater collaboration between all sectors to focus on the world’s challenges and turn good intentions into measurable results.
