Prontoport wins 24-month Siemens offshore wind farm services contract

Prontoport, an Ayrshire-based wind turbine services provider, has won an additional 24-month contract from Siemens to support the commissioning and build of several new offshore wind farms.

The new contract is expected to be worth a seven figure sum each year for the next two years.

Siemens is a longstanding client of Prontoport, which already provides project design, build and engineering maintenance services to the German multinational.

Prontoport carries out servicing and repairs on over 50% of the UK’s wind farms, including  Gwynt Y Mor offshore, RWE’s flagship and the biggest construction site in Europe at the time.

The company – which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year – has been working with Siemens Projects since March 2010 and, through the industry approved Prontoport Training Academy, recruits, vets and trains personnel
