
Renewable-UK will tomorrow (5 November) launch its State Of The Industry Report 2013 on wind power at its 35th annual conference at the NEC.This report is an honest and extensive analysis of the wind industry in the UK.
Maria McCaffery, Chief Executive, Renewable-UK, will be accompanied by Deputy Chief Executive Maf Smith and Stephanie McGregor, Director of UK Grid Systems, ABB.
UK Energy Minister, Ed Davey, will make the keynote speech at the conference – widely recognised as the premier renewables event in the UK. Over the three days, more than 5,000 people are expected to attend, visiting some 250 exhibitors and listening to nearly 200 key speakers.
McCaffery said: “The Government’s Energy Bill, which is due to become next month, is crucial for setting the investment framework for the next 20 years and in ensuring we can build on our current world lead in offshore marine and wind technologies, as well as guaranteeing clean domestic power and thousands of green jobs.”
