An East Kilbride-based electrical equipment and energy-efficiency manufacturer is setting out on a trade mission to the Middle East with the aim of establishing a partner to represent them in the region.

Set up in 1978, SDC Industries is also exhibiting at the giant ADIPEC oil and gas event in Abu Dhabi designs, makes and exports a range of factor capacitors, voltage optimisation and other power equipment and has also expanded into the renewable energy sector.

David Sullivan, Managing Director, SDC Industries, said: “We’re at the forefront of technological design and the products we supply help keep your power quality clean and your power systems energy-efficient.

“We are attending the ADIPEC exhibition and conference, as this is primarily for the oil and gas industry in the UAE and  Middle East and where we’ve had success in selling both High and Low Voltage Power Factor Correction equipment

“I’ll also be looking for a partner company in the UAE to act upon our behalf in that area, as well as speaking directly to the major players in the O&G sector, and showing how SDC Industries Ltd can help them.”

Sullivan and fellow director Peter Higgins took control of SDC Industries last year.
