Scottish Energy Minister Fergus Ewing, MSP, is set to take part in a debate on wind farms and planning issues in a debate organised by Scotland Against Spin.

Set up last year, Scotland Against Spin is an independent alliance which campaigns for reform of wind energy policy and practice.

Last year, Ewing declined this SAS invite at the cost of wind conference in Stirling. But now the Energy Minister has agreed to a debate on May 2 at 10.00am at Edinburgh University’s Centre for Carbon Innovation.

The Scotland Against Spin anti-wind parc campaign group will put up two academic experts on energy policy to debate with the Minister.

The two-hour debate will be open to the public and there will be time for questions and answers afterwards.
