Scottish Government opens consultation on housing to 2040

The Scottish Government published an open letter to stakeholders on 2 December, setting out ways in which they can engage with its Housing to 2040 consultation.

The consultation carries forward the commitment in the Scottish Government’s 2018-19 Programme for Government, published in September 2018, to construct a vision for the development of Scottish homes and communities by 2040.

The Scottish Government says it is “adopting a whole-systems approach” to housing and is aligning it with “longer term planning already underway”. Stakeholders have until 28 February 2020 to respond.
