The Scottish Government’s Big Climate Conversation survey results were published on 30 January, finding that one of the actions most commonly ranked as a high priority by participants was phasing out the extraction of North Sea oil and gas.
Additionally, the results found there was widespread support for home energy efficiency improvements and almost all participants agreed that a future scenario in which “all homes and buildings are insulated to the highest standard” would be a good thing for Scotland.
There was a call for more information about the options that are available for retrofits, coupled with more availability of subsidies and support.
