The Infrastructure Commission for Scotland (ICS) presented the Scottish Government with a 30-year infrastructure strategy entitled Key Findings Report – A Blueprint for Scotland on 20 January.
It sets out eight overarching themes and 23 specific recommendations for Scottish Government to consider.
A prevailing theme in the development of energy infrastructure is ensuring that decisions are based on the delivery of a fair and inclusive net zero carbon economy.
The next stage of the ICS’ 18-month programme will see it provide guidance to the Scottish Government on how best to consider the 23 recommendations it outlined.
