SDC Industries delivers cost-savings and carbon-reduction for NHS and local councils

With almost 40 years in business, SDC Industries specialise in the manufacture of a wide range of electrical power quality and energy efficiency equipment for industry and commerce worldwide.

The East Kilbride-based business also provides renewable energy services, including wind and solar installation, and currently seeking to expand by providing these and other carbon-cutting services.

SDC Industries recently exhibited at the EIH event at Olympia in London, where Managing Director David Sullivan and Director Peter Higgins met with key influencers in NHS and health care estates and found that energy-efficiency remains high on their agenda.

Sullivan said: “Peter and I introduced each visitor to SDC Industries’ products and services, and learned that the managers and heads of estates are extremely interested in carbon-reducing products such as Power Factor Correction and Voltage Optimisation, as well as electrical distribution, which includes our 415V switchboard range.”

Existing client Grace Connor, Energy Manager, Stirling Council, commented: “By installing the SDC Industries Varmatic Voltage Optimiser™ our leisure centre made savings of 19.2%. We also see voltage optimisation as an effective method of achieving our carbon reduction targets.”
