Effective immediately, Glen Cayley, Upstream Director, Shell UK, is appointed as vice-chairman of the organisation, representing the operator community.

In addition, Colette Cohen, senior vice-president for the UK & the Netherlands for Centrica Energy, will now join Oil & Gas UK’s executive board.

She said: “I am delighted to be joining Oil & Gas UK’s board at a time when the industry is at a crossroads.

” If we are to take advantage of the huge potential the UK Continental Shelf still has, we must look at the region with fresh eyes and focus on developing our remaining reserves to maximise recovery.

I am looking forward to working with the rest of the the industry does this safely and effectively.”
