SHET and SPT receive financial rewards of £1mn for 2018-19 RIIO-T1

On 21 November, Ofgem published the outcomes of the RIIO-T1 Environmental Discretionary Reward Scheme for the three transmission networks over the 2018-19 scheme year.

Rewards of £1mn were given to both Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission (SHET) and SP Transmission (SPT) after they were deemed to have a satisfactory executive level annual statement (ELAS) and achieved “leadership” status on the balanced scorecard. To be eligible for a reward, transmission networks must have a satisfactory ELAS and receive leadership on the scorecard.

National Grid Electricity Transmission did achieve a satisfactory ELAS but was only deemed to be “proactive” on the scorecard, mainly due to providing insufficient evidence in its submissions.
