A German-based investment fund manager has opened a new office in Norway to tap the country’s hydro-electric energy potential.
Aquila Capital’s office in Oslo will co-ordinate investment and transaction management as well as operations in the hydropower sector and enable Aquila to intensify deal sourcing. The office reflects Aquila Capital’s approach to addressing the growing importance of the Nordic region and meeting increasing demand.
It has appointed Joakim Johnsen (pictured) formerly head of Statoil operations in Brazil, to act as an investment manager within the hydro-energy team
