
Hannah Bardell, the new SNP MP for Livingston was – until last week’s UK election – head of marketing for Stork, the oil and gas services company.
A local girl – she attended nearby Broxburn Academy in West Lothian – Bardell was former office manager for Alex Salmond, then (and now again) a Westminster MP. She also previously worked as an SNP ‘spin doctor’ during the party’s 2007 campaign.
For the last three years she has been working in the oil and gas sector initially, with Subsea 7 and for the last two years as marketing manager with Stork.
A Stirling university graduate, she was formerly a member of the Grampian Chamber of Commerce’s policy committee. In her spare time, she’ enjoys watching most sports but in particular football and rugby.’
